2. What data we collect and why

When you purchase a license

We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe collects your name, email address, and payment information directly. We receive only your email address and a license identifier to activate your copy of iVox. We do not store your payment card details.

When you join the Windows waitlist

We collect your email address solely to notify you when a Windows version of iVox becomes available. We do not use this email for any other purpose.

When you use the iVox desktop application

iVox processes audio files locally on your computer. We do not collect, upload, or have access to any audio files you load into the application. No usage data, telemetry, or analytics are sent from the desktop app.

When you visit i-vox.app

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server log data including IP addresses and browser information as part of its infrastructure services. We do not run additional analytics or tracking tools on the website.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, we process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — processing your email to deliver your license key and manage your purchase
• Legitimate interest — communicating with waitlist subscribers about the Windows release they requested
• Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by applicable law

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate iVox:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare — website hosting and DNS (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. International data transfers

iVox is operated from the Netherlands. If you are located outside the European Economic Area, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers (Stripe, Cloudflare) operate. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

8. Cookies

The iVox website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies necessary for security and performance. No consent banner is required for these.

9. Children's privacy

iVox is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via the iVox website.
